Big Business in the Black Communities: How the Working Poor Became Big Business. The $33 billion-a-year “poverty industry.” Services such as payday lenders, tax preparers who offer refund anticipation loans, and rent-to-own stores. Payday lenders in particular have become so common. Think about it. It's more of them than McDonald’s and Burger King stores combined.Think about this, it's about 7.6% of household in Florida don't have bank accounts. A person will spend about $40.000 in a lifetime to covert their paychecks to cash. The rich is feeding on the poor. Don't be Mentally Blind. Poverty and homelessness is big business. Take JP MORGAN they have rake in 1/2 BILLION DOLLAR on processing food stamp EBT cards. All your businesses is trying to rake in on the food stamp EBT card that's big business.
